General music has the potential to open the door for non-traditional music students to engage in music making in our classrooms. This hands on session will focus on an approach to general music with composition and technology at the center. Session participants will create and record their own music. Practical teaching strategies, curriculum and project ideas will be shared. Regardless of your experience with general music, the projects and ideas in this session will inspire new ways of thinking about and teaching general music.
